As if they gave a damn so suddenly. This abandoning your children then snatching them back up for political marriage BS has got to be one of the worst cliché's TO EXIST.
You know what? I want to see the fight between TWO abandoned trust fund babies, the families find out they are getting married, try to break up the wedding and BOTH "holier than thou" families end up destroying each other. Both the children, having no clue what's going on, end up trying to flee with their adoptive parents. THAT would make a good (and likely hilarious) story.
